Every Saturday, Guam Boonie Stompers offers public hikes to a variety of destinations such as beaches, waterfalls, mountains, caves, latte sites and World War II sites. Meet at 9 a.m. at the center court in Chamorro Village. Cost is $2 for hikers over age 12. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hikers should provide their own transportation. Sept. 13 Tarzan Swim Hole Difficulty: Medium Time: Three hours for 2 miles We journey to a remote swimming hole to cool off. Bring: 3 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, swimsuit, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, lunch and camera. Special conditions: Steep slopes and possibly slippery mud. Sept. 20 Waterfall Valley Difficulty: Medium Time: Three hours for 1 mile A couple of short hikes to a series of waterfalls. Bring: 3 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, swimsuit, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, lunch and camera. Special conditions: Walking in water, slippery mud and climbing with a rope.
